First Trails Bond application received!

Post Date:01/10/2017 1:59 PM
The Grant Creek Trails Association brought forward the first project proposal seeking funding from the $3 million County Trails Bond Program. The Association is seeking roughly $151,000 to cover design and construction costs for the final phase of the trail, extending north from Mellot Lane to Snowbowl Road. The total cost of the project is estimated at $754,188. Grant Creek Trails Association hopes to secure the remaining funds from the federal Transportation Alternatives Program coordinated by Montana Department of Transportation. The Missoula County Parks and Trails Advisory Board will review the application and provide a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners at their February 9th meeting. The Board of Commissioners should likely make a final determination on whether or not to fund the project by the end of February 2017.  Learn more about the Trails Bond Program and view the Grant Creek Trail application.
