2018 PARKS & TRAILS MATCHING GRANT AWARDS

The Missoula County Parks and Trails Advisory Board wants to hear your idea for a project in a County Park or other public recreation site!

These funds allow the Missoula County Parks, Trails & Open Lands Program to partner with dedicated community members interested in improving and maintaining public recreation sites and facilities outside the Missoula City Limits. There is $40,000 of funding available for Capital Improvement projects and $10,000 for Maintenance projects. Grant recipients are reimbursed for half the cost of the project, not exceeding the award amount. Cash expenses, in-kind donations and volunteer service are recognized as an eligible match.

Program timeline

  • Late Summer: call for applications
  • Fall: applications due October 16th
  • Winter 2017: Missoula County Parks & Trails Advisory Board reviews applications and provides a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners
  • Early Spring 2018: Board of County Commissioners reviews recommendations; grants awarded
