Proposed Environmental Health Department Fee Increases
The Missoula City-County Health Department is asking the Missoula City-County Health Board to increase Environmental Health fees. Before deciding on what fees to propose, the Department weighed the overall cost of each program, how much of each program is supported by local tax dollars, the time and resources typically used in performing associated tasks and the last time a particular fee was raised. The Department’s goal is to keep fees fair and reasonable, while providing the resources needed to serve the public and protect food safety, water quality, the public’s health and our environment.
The Health Board will discuss the proposed fee increases at 12:15 p.m. or soon thereafter on December 20, 2018. There will be an opportunity for the public to comment before they make a decision.
