Some Motor Vehicle Services Unavailable During Statewide System Upgrade
The Montana Motor Vehicle Division will perform a major statewide system upgrade beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19.The Missoula County Treasurer’s Office will be unable to view or process any motor vehicle transactions during this time.
During the upgrade, vehicle and driver services will be unavailable, but customers may still complete the title by email option on the Missoula County website at www.titlebyemail.us and mail in renewals. Services are scheduled to return starting Monday, Nov. 23,unless some unforeseen issue arises.
Tax processing will not be impacted by the system update.
To ensure the health and safety of customers and staff during the pandemic, the office is closed to public entrance. This includes motor vehicle registration, renewals and transfers, property tax payments or changes, and requests for birth certificates and other records. Customers can still complete non-motor vehicle services online at missoulaclerk.us during the upgrade. All motor vehicle services will be available online again following the upgrade.
