County employees have access to wellness benefits that go beyond the health insurance plan.
Alternative medicine
Alternative medicine services apply towards your deductible under the Missoula County Employee Benefits Plan. Covered expenses are paid at 70% of the maximum allowance (up to $750 per benefit year). Covered services include:

Mental health counseling
The Uprise Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers confidential advice, support, therapy, and practical solutions to real-life issues including work stress, interpersonal workplace issues, family caregiving problems, burnout, depression and anxiety, and budget or financial issues.
Health screenings
County employees receive one free health screening per year. The screening includes a complete blood count, a comprehensive metabolic panel, a lipid panel, vitamin D measurement, blood pressure and other vital signs and more. Additional tests may be added for a fee.
