The Missoula County Board of Commissioners oversee the budgets and financial statements for special districts like the Fairgrounds District and rural special improvement districts (RSIDs).

RSIDs are citizen-initiated districts formed to operate and maintain water and/or sewer systems that provide service to properties within the legally defined boundaries. Residents within RSIDs pay taxes directly towards the maintenance of the systems.

Residents outside of an RSID do not contribute to this district. If you are in an RSID, it will show up under the “special assessments” table on your tax bill.
