Geographic Information Systems


Geographic Information System (GIS) Division of the Technology Department is to manage and to provide reliable, current, accurate geospatial information to the departments within Missoula County, other agencies and the general public. Use of GIS products aids Missoula County elected officials and employees in the interpretation and analysis of relationships, patterns and trends by presenting a visual context for complex information.

GIS provides base and parcel maps, helps with address assignment and road naming, supports the 9-1-1 Center to aid in emergency response and manages county maps and data.
