The Technology Department strives to provide timely support, and stable technology systems to address the needs of various County departments; so they can in turn provide Missoula County residents with vital services.
Divisions Include:
Information Services
Staff in this division provide IT support to county employees.
Applications & Development
Staff develop, support and maintain mission-critical enterprise applications throughout the organization. The division provides project management, integration services and daily support of major vendor applications. In addition, the division also develops, services and supports other departmental needs, including relational database and web development.
Records Management
Staff in this division ensure the safekeeping of physical county records from the 19th century.
Geographic Information Services
This division manages and provides reliable, current, and accurate geospatial information to Missoula County departments, other agencies, and the general public. Use of GIS products aids Missoula County elected officials and employees in the interpretation and analysis of relationships, patterns, and trends by presenting a visual context for a variety of information, including the property information site and the records search. The open data portal includes additional apps, dashboards, and much more.
Telephone Services
This division works in conjunction with the Information Systems team to design, maintain and support of all network functions related to voice communications.
