Information related to the decision making process on the elections administrator position.

In accordance with MCA 13-1-301, the Missoula County Commissioners authorized appointing a full-time elections administrator in June, 2014 as outlined in County Resolution number 2014-074. As noted in the last paragraph of the resolution, the board is reviewing the appointed position after a three year period “to determine whether or not to continue with the appointed election administrator or to delegate the position to the clerk and recorder or to another elected official, pursuant to MCA 13-1-301.”

The commissioners will hold a public meeting on the matter at 2:00 p.m. in room 151 of the Courthouse Annex on Oct. 12, 2017 and will take written public comment until 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2017. The commissioners will make a decision at their public meeting on Oct. 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in room 151 of the Courthouse Annex.
