If I'm not a registered voter, can I vote?

YES! Late registration allows voters to register and receive a ballot 29 days before an election. Even on Election Day, same-day voter registration provides voters the same opportunity. Late registration is conducted at the Elections Center (Fairgrounds). Plenty of parking is available and we have friendly staff ready to help you!

Ballot Information

Sample Ballots - Visit the My Voter Page for a customized sample ballot.

Replacement Ballots - Replacement ballots may be obtained at the Elections Center weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or on Election Day between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Returning Voted Ballots - Voted ballots may be returned in the mail or in person. If returning by mail, it will cost $0.50 cents in postage (or one Forever stamp). Voted ballots may also be dropped off at Elections Office locations (Missoula County Courthouse or the Fairgrounds). The Fairgrounds location has an overnight deposit for after hours and weekend drop-off. On Election Day voters may also deposit their vote-by-mail ballot at any drop-off location (for the School Election) or polling place location (for the Federal Primary Election).

Undeliverable Ballots - Ballots can not be forwarded through the postal service. If a mailing address is no longer active, the ballot will be returned to our office. Upon return to our office as undeliverable, we immediately mail a forwardable confirmation postcard to capture the voter’s new address information. If voters wish to pick up their ballot, they may do so in person at the Election Center. If an individual would like to pick up an undeliverable ballot on behalf of another voter, our office must be provided with a signed request granting permission.
