Under the direction of the Information Systems Supervisor, Information Systems (I.S.) is a division of the Technology Department that provides Network and PC Support to Missoula County employees.


I.S. has four teams:

  • Systems  – responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of the servers and core systems infrastructure. This includes system backups, email, audio/video, user accounts and data storage.
  • Network  – responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure, and efficient network. Network support includes monitoring data across the network, switches, firewall, and connections from the systems to the desktop computer.
  • Desktop  – responsible for deploying the client workstation. This includes maintaining the desktop pc’s, laptops, peripherals, and application software installation.
  • Service Desk – provides the first point of contact between the I.S. division and the employees we support. The main responsibility for the Service Desk is to ensure that appropriate help is given in a timely manner.
