PARK RULES 

  • It is unlawful for an Owner or Temporary Owner to allow any age Dog to be at large at any time. A Dog is at large if the Dog is off the premises of its Owner or Temporary Owner and not under the immediate control of the Owner or Temporary Owner either by: 
  1. Leash, tether, lead, harness or other physical control device or voice restraint, or
  2. Voice Restraint of a person capable of controlling, subduing or restraining the Dog; or
  3. By complete confinement within or upon a vehicle with permission of the owner of the vehicle.
    It is unlawful for an Owner or Temporary Owner to allow any Dog to harass livestock or wildlife. See Missoula County Animal Control Ordinances for further information.
  • Motorized vehicles are allowed only on designated roads and parking areas, unless otherwise permitted.

  • No, open fires are prohibited in any County Park and County Recreation Area unless expressly signed otherwise.

  • Camping is prohibited on all County Park and County Recreation Area.

  • No, fireworks are prohibited on any County Park and County Recreation Area.

  • No, hunting and trapping are prohibited on any County Park and County Recreation Area.

  • Additionally, the discharge of any weapon or device that shoots a projectile, paintball, bullet, bolt, etc. is prohibited in any Missoula County Park and County Recreation Area.

  • No encroachments shall be allowed on County owned property or right-of-way or on any other property in which Missoula County has a legal interest except by Special Encroachment Permit approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

  • Discharge of any weapon or device that shoots a projectile, paintball, bullet, bolt, etc. is prohibited in any Missoula County Park and County Recreation Area, except in designated areas.

  • Commercial signs and commercial activities are prohibited without prior approval from the County or its agent.

  • Littering and dumping are prohibited in any County Park and County Recreation Areas.

  • Cutting and digging of existing land forms, trees and shrubs is prohibited in any County Park and County Recreation Area.

Adopted as Attachment C of Resolution 2014-006 a Resolution rescinding certain rules and regulations for Missoula County parks and recreation areas and adopting rules and regulations for the safe and orderly use of Missoula County parks and recreation areas.
