COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE FUND (CAF)

The Community Assistance Fund (CAF) is levied by the Board of County Commissioners to provide human services and establish a safety net or continuum of services to meet basic human needs. Projects awarded funding through the Community Assistance Fund serve at-risk populations at the most basic levels of food, shelter, medical care, and emergency transportation. Staff contact: Nancy Rittel, Grants Administrator, 258-4933 or nrittel@missoulacounty.us .

SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION Mill Levy (SAP ML)

The Substance Abuse Prevention Mill Levy (SAP ML) was approved by Missoula voters in 2008 for the purpose of supporting prevention programs in Missoula County that help grow healthy youth and families and reduce the negative consequences and high costs of substance abuse. Staff contact: Kayla Talbert, Grants Administrator, 258-4947 or ktalbert@missoulacounty.us .

CDBG ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVOLVING LOAN FUND (CDBG ED RLF)

Missoula County’s Community Development Block Grant Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) is designed to stimulate economic development activity by providing loan funds in order to create or retain jobs for low- and moderate-income persons and for housing, public facility, and human service projects or programs. The RLF funds are intended to be used in situations where a funding gap exists and alternative sources of public and private financing are not adequate. Each economic development project supported by the County under this program must be documented to benefit a majority of low- and moderate-income individuals. Missoula County will accept loan applications on an open-cycle basis, depending upon the availability of funds. Contact Melissa Gordon, Program Manager, at 258-4980 or mgordon@missoulacounty.us with questions. Download the instructions and application:
