What We Do
JUST Response connects members of the justice system and community to solve problems, build relationships, share information and see training in order to respond to relationship violence, sexual violence, and child abuse in a cohesive way.
We utilize ongoing multidisciplinary team (MDT) case review, MDT discussion, strategic planning, community needs assessments, MT Fatality Review recommendations and national best practices to guide our work to improve the system for victims of child abuse and child sexual assault, adult and teen sexual violence, and relationship violence.
There are three focus areas that guides our work:
- Child Advocacy Center Guidelines - Child Abuse and Child Sexual Assault.
- Safety and Accountability Audit - Adult and Teen Sexual Violence.
- MT Fatality Review and National Models - Relationship Violence.
JUST Response Teams
JUST Response creates a comprehensive response to violence by identifying systematic issues and implementing solutions rooted in best practices. Focused, active groups are comprised of staff from member agencies who collaborate to carry out this work. These groups utilize our local experts and leaders an strive for cohesive, efficient, and victim-centered work.
JUST Response Teams are overseen by the Advisory Board which will ensure JUST Response policies and training are consistent between departments.
