Prevent T2, a National Diabetes Prevention Program is a lifestyle balance program carefully designed to help reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. You will learn how to lose weight, enjoy eating healthy, and being active. The program is based on research studies regarding the best ways to help people make life-long changes that support healthy eating, an active lifestyle, and weight loss and management.
The classes are held weekly for the first 12 weeks, bi-monthly for 4 months and then monthly for six months. The program first covers nutrition and exercise and then the remainder of the program is focused on making changes to your lifestyle that support your weight and health goals. Regular weigh-ins, support meetings, plus food and exercise journals keep everyone on track.
Classes are offered three times per year.
You really can Prevent T2!
These are the steps you need to take in order to enroll in this transforming program.
