The Missoula County Rural Special Improvement Districts No. 8916, 8918 and 8925 are under the jurisdiction of the Board of County Commissioners.  The Chief Public Works Officer, at the direction of the Board, manages and operates these districts. Districts were formed to operate and maintain water and/or sewer systems that provide service to properties within the legally defined boundaries.

 No wipes in the pipes

Todays world calls for an abundance of disinfecting wipes, paper towels and napkins, but we still need to dispose of them correctly.

Please DO NOT flush these items down your toilet. It costs a lot of money, time, and staff to make repairs to sewer and septic systems.

Sunset West

The Sunset West Water Tank (80,000 gallons) requires some minimal interior maintenance. The project scope is to sandblast the interior lid of the tank and to re-epoxy it with approved material. Maguire Iron, Inc. was the winning bid. For more details about the history and project, please click here.

UPDATE: This project will start 6/26/2020 and take 3-4 days to complete. There should be no water outages for the system during this scheduled maintenance. If you have questions regarding this project, please contact Tami Quinn at 370-1838 or Deb Bell at 830-5975.
